Interesting NEW WORDS...
STAYCATION. It means staying at home and exploring its neighborhood and city than traveling somewhere else for a vacation. This is because of the mere fact that economy is really bad at the moment – high price gas, Wall Street crash and the shortage of money.
Hubby and I decided to minimize our travel abroad and explore what we got here in the
RECESSIONISTA – someone who knows that economy at the moment is really bad but doesn’t allow it to stop her to be fashionable. She shops fashionable items in a lower cost.
I never shop for items that are not on sales – oh well… only for designer handbags...wink... There are a lot of stores for recessionistas like me. Examples, Century 21, TJ Maxx, Marshals, Ross and outlet stores. These stores have really good deals for designer stuffs.
BARSEXUAL - a girl who kisses other girls in bars and clubs for attention. They are not necessary bisexual; they just do it for FUN!!! “I kiss a Girl by Katy Perry.

Pottery Terms
Here's some of the terms used in pottery. For you to help familiarize yourself if you want to try it:)
Slab- Slabs are flat, thin 1/8" to 1/4" sections of clay which are produced by hand
or with a mechanical device called a slab roller.
Slab construction- Roll out clay to uniform thickness on canvas cloth. Lay template on slab and
cut with needle. Gently lift so as not to warp the clay. To assemble, score
and slip sides to base.
Slip – Clay that has been thinned by the adding water to the clay. Slip can be used
as a binder for joining slabs of clay , adding handles to vessels, or any time
two pieces of clay are being joined together.
Pinch Pots – Pottery pots made by forming a ball of clay, and with just the pottery worker's
hands pushing one thumb down into the center of the ball and pinching up
the wall while rotating the pot.
Wedging – To knead or mix clay by hand. A hand process used to homogenize the clay
and remove air bubbles, thus making it workable. The techniques for
wedging are called Spiral, Chrysanthemum wedging, Rams head, Monkey
face wedging and wire/slab wedging.
Throwing – To make pottery by hand on a kickwheel or electric potters wheel.. A delicate
balance, which defies gravity and centrifugal force as clay is coaxed up by
hand from a spinning turntable.
Leather Hard – This is a stage midway between wet and dry clay. The clay will be stiff
enough to support it’s own weight, but pliable enough to be bent and worked
with.
Greenware – Unfired pottery that is dryer and harder than the leather hard stage.
Bisque – A greenware piece of pottery that is fired at a high temperature and is porous
and unglazed.
Glaze – A layer of ceramic or glass that is a mix of dolomite, frit, flint, feldspar,
sodium borate, clay and whiting. It can be applied by dusting, dipping or
brushing a thin coat on the surface of a pottery or ceramic piece. Glaze is
used to seal the piece, decorate it, or both.

Golfing for FUN
I started learning golf back in 1999 or 2000 with a good friend, Ricky. Learned it with a Pro but still it doesn't really interest me that much. When we moved here in Dallas few months ago, we realized that a lot of people here play golf, just for fun y'know. Well... hubby started learning to play while we were in NJ (I gave him a golf lesson certificate) and he's enjoying it. So, we both then decided to play together and with other friends who are in golfing too:)
Honestly, I never had so much fun in the golf cour
As game as great as golf is, there are a lot to learn and takes a lot of time to fully master it. I have heard it said that golf is the largest Rubik's cube that will never be figured out. Ouch.... Having said that, guess we'll just continue to have FUN:)
Golfing is FUN after all.... Try ityourself....

SHOPAHOLIC - Am I or Am I Not???
Well... I do have my obssession on some things :) These are the TOP 5 which I should say I am pretty much hooked and got the habit of buying it obssessively, compulsively and excessively.
1. Moisturizers - I just love to collect different body and face moisturizers. It's for the fact that I love to test new products in the market and try new samples. I've got loads of them -different brands from different country :) Got bunch of expired ones to dispose... LOL
2. Accessories - I LOVE precious gems/ stones. I am making some of my collection to practice my artistic side (trying hard). But I have the obssession of buying antique looking accessories and/or fully polished ones. My collection of brand includes Kenneth Cole, Fossil, Monet & Lucky Brand and a little of the rest :)
3. Swim Suits - Don't ask me why.... I just love buying new ones even I don't use it :) Different style, different colors, different materials and different brands. Pity there is no nearby beaches here in Dallas:( sob sob... Well, I started collecting swim suits since I was addicted to scuba diving back in 1999 - 2000 (most of them were gifts) wink;)
4. Make Up - I started putting on make up when I finished College. But my passion for make up just started when I started travelling around the world. I guess it's because there are loads of them in the airport. I can't resist! It's FUN to look at my collection in my dresser :)
5. SHOES/ BAGS - I am a girl... It explains EVERYTHING :)

So You Think You Can Dance.....
Belly dancing, a dance of seduction is truely my cup of tea...lol :)
I love to party and I love to dance. I'm the dancer in the family and I grew up dancing. Either in the stage or in the street... My elementary and high school days were just all about dance practices, dance rehearsals, dance competitions and dance performances. I basically love to dance, I may not be the best among the best but, whatta heck, I love to shake my bon bon:)
Hip Hop... hmmmm... What I know about hip hop huh? Well... I actually like hip hop music and bet you I can do the moves too:) But dancing hip hop in a club is definitely different than learning hip hop in a class. My first day in my class was a total mess. I couldn't follow a routine and I couldn't move. I was laughing hard and said to myself, "dream on Bon".
But I'm not giving up. I am still in my class and I am coping up right now. It's just a matter of time!
Belly dancing... something about it that got me hooked up to it since the first time I tried it 2 years ago (actually my hubby bought me the costume when he was in Dubai). Very sexy and moving. It's a dance which takes a lot of your expression and passion. Love it and I am doing it at least ones a week
So I think I can dance.... a little... :)

POTTERY
Then I came here in Texas. No work and got all the time in my hand. So, I decided to try on pottery. Thinking, nothing really hurts to try new things. Besides, it's really very interesting! Mind you... there are a lot of pottery classes here in Dallas and even little kids are having fun doing it. Y'know, playing with the mud is really fun :)
I had my one month of FUN with my teacher -Gina Davis and with the owner of the studio- Sharon Lee. They are such an amazing people to be with. Aside from the fact I learned some techniques working with the wheel, I learned to make some hand pieces like pots, baskets, box and plates. Though I admit I am not good at it yet (not easy y'know) but I am having fun :) I am still doing my regular sessions with them and hopefully I can master this craft :)
Visit the studio if you're interested http://www.kraftivitystudio.com/
Wishes .... wink :)
